Katherine Kellert, Woodwinds, Piano & Kindermusik

Katherine KellertKatherine Kellert is an active freelance musician and private instructor in the Washington, D.C. area. She received her Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance from Arizona State University, where she studied with Robert Spring. Her teachers have included Robert Spring, Steven Cohen, Scott Bridges, and Sandra Garner-Mosteller. Currently she is the Principal Clarinettist with the Mantovani Orchestra and performs regularly at Washington, D.C. theaters including Toby’s Dinner Theatre in Baltimore and Columbia, Maryland. As a founding member of Washington, D.C.'s Great Noise Ensemble, Ms. Kellert has participated in the premieres and performances of numerous new works since its inaugural season.

An accomplished chamber and orchestral musician, she has appeared in recitals and performances across the United States, as well as attended summer programs such as the National Orchestral Institute and the Brevard Music Center. She has performed with the Maryland Chamber Orchestra, Alexandria Symphony, New Dominion Chorale Orchestra, McLean Orchestra and National Cathedral Choral Society Orchestra, among others.

Heidi Littman, Kindermusik

Heidi LittmanHeidi grew up in a very musical household in Northern California. She began playing piano and learning guitar at age seven. She then began playing the trumpet and ultimately the French horn. Heidi holds two degrees in French horn performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the University of Maryland-College Park. Heidi loves performing and teaching music and has been teaching private and small group brass lessons for six years. She is also a member of the Great Noise Ensemble which is involved in higher education as the artist in residence at the Catholic University of America. She is very excited to work with children, parents, and entire families in exploring and integrating Kindermusik into their lives.
